How do I put a quote on a picture?

Simply click on a quote anywhere on the Quotation Fun site, and you will be taken to the Pictures page where your quote will be displayed on a random picture from our collection.

How do I change the look of the quote on a picture?

Simply make sure there are "blue squares" at the corners of the quote and then select one of the many tools above to change the look of your quote to suit the picture.

How do I change the picture to a different one?

Simply click the "Change Background Picture" button and click on any of the picture thumbnails you see to replace the current picture.

How can I see all the quotes by a particular Author?

Simply click on the name of the Author underneath a quote to see a list of all the quotes by that Author.

Another way to see all the quotes by a particular Author is to click on the alphabet letter in the header that corresponds to the first letter of the Author's last name. Then select the Author you want from the list to see a list of all the quotes by that Author.

How can I see all the quotes on a particular Topic?

Simply click on the Topic menu item and you will see an alphabetical list of all our Topics. Click the topic you are interested in to see a list of all the quotes on that Topic.

A member of the Suez Group of MPs, against the removal of British troops from the Suez Canal because such a move would demonstrate, that Britain could no longer maintain a position there and that any claim to the Suez Canal would be illogical. However, after the troops had left in 1954 and the Egyptians nationalised the Canal in 1956, Powell opposed the British attempts to retake the Canal in the Suez War because he thought the British no longer had the resources to be a world power.[

Margaret Thatcher refused to offer Powell a Shadow Cabinet place because "he turned his back on his own people" by leaving the Conservative Party exactly 12 months earlier and telling the electorate to vote Labour - 1975.

Powell was reading Ancient Greek by the age of five, learning it from his mother. At the age of 70 he began learning his 12th and final language, Hebrew.
