Randi was encased in a block of ice for 55 minutes.

James Randi can be heard speaking an introduction on Tommy Finkes song "Poet der Affen - Poet of the Apes", released on the album of the same name in 2010. The message was recorded by James Randi and sent to Tommy Finke via email.

Challenger of paranormal claims and pseudoscience.

Randi posed as a psychic to establish that they were simply doing tricks.
One of his earliest reported experiences is that of seeing an evangelist using the "one-ahead" routine to convince churchgoers of his divine powers, when a performer pretends to read messages sealed inside envelopes by clairvoyance. The 'one-ahead' is an entertaining parlor trick by magicians and mentalists.
