Parents -  James and Sarah Curran.
Wife - Sarah Creagh, nine children. Sarah eloped with Reverend Abraham Sandys, whom Curran sued afterwards for Criminal conversation in 1795.                          
                          
The office of Master of the Rolls in Ireland originated in the office of the Keeper of the Rolls in the Irish Chancery and became an office granted by letters patent in 1333: the first known holder of the office was Edmund de Grimsby. It was abolished in 1924.

John Curran challenged people to duels, he fought five in all, rather than compromise his values.
