Neil deGrasse Tyson was giving lectures on the subject at the age of fifteen.

Astronomer Carl Sagan, was a faculty member at Cornell University, and tried to recruit Tyson to Cornell for undergraduate studies.

Tyson chose to attend Harvard University.
